Police in Kenosha Wisconsin are investigating today amid reports that an area elementary school narrowily avoided a mass shooting.
The Lowdown
According to area reports, school officials at Roosevelt Elementary School are being called heros after thwarting a potential mass shooting.  The Milwaukee Journal reports that on Thursday school officials encountered a 13-year-old boy trying to suspiciously gain access to his former school (he attends a nearby middle school.)
From there, officials say that the boy who has not been identified had a rifle in his backpack and appeared to have an intent on shooting up the school. He has since been arrested and an investigation remains ongoing.
