Obtaining federal employment in the United States has always required an extensive background check — especially among those appointed.  But a new report suggests that Trump ‘s closest advisers are looking for dramatic changes.

The Lowdown

According to The New  York Times, the way someone is appointed in terms of the federal government may change if Donald Trump wins the upcoming election. The Guardian reports that some of Trump ‘s closest advisers are proposing executive orders that would otherwise doaway with background checks all together.

The consequences of such an order would be profound granting unchecked access to any and everyone with no formal way to vet them.  Instead of the usual FBI vettign process,  reports suggest that Trump appointed private investigators instead perform the mandated checks.
