Low income hungry shoppers will soon be able to top up their fridges using their EBT cards on Uber Eats.

The Lowdown

According to the company, today people can now use their EBT cards on eligible groceries. Uber Eats joins Amazon’s Fresh in expanding EBT availability on its platform. Instacart and at least one other platform also allow this but be sure to check prices on each platform — they may significantly vary grocery wise.

You can only do this with eligible items.

Users who add their EBT card will automatically get 3 months of free delivery.

The news was first announced earlier this year but now appears to be widely available.
