House passes stop-gap funding bill

House Republicans going against the MAGA demographic of their party have passed a spending bill. According to reports, the bill is headed for Dems in the Senate.

But it appears at least right now that numerous concessions were made. The final bill according to what we’ve learned does not include the provision on so called beefed up voter ID laws. Democrats in the Senate are expected to sign the legislation.

The proposal in question is the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility Act which is heavily being promoted by the Republican party’s extreme MAGA wing. Despite the push for the act, it is actually already illegal in the U.S for non-citizens to vote.
