Ghislaine Maxwell is out of luck trying to get her conviction overturned. According to reports, the 2nd U.S Circuit Court of Appeals has made their decision.

The Lowdown

Convicted sex trafficker Ghislaine Maxwell has lost her attempt to have her conviction overturned. The former socialite is serving a 20 year sentence at a low security federal prison.

What happened?

Ghislaine Maxwell is the infamous British socialite that procured underage girls and others for convicted (deceased) predator Jeffrey Epstein. Although Epstein killed himself in prison in 2019, federal authorities in the United States then came after Maxwell herself.

Despite her lawyers arguing that her conviction was outside of the statute of limitations, the court also found that her conviction was accurate and within the allowed time frame.

Maxwell’s efforts to evade justice included Epstein’s infamous non-prosecutorial agreement that the court also found she was not a part of.
