Book bans are back this time in Ohio

Book bans are becoming news again in the United States and this time the ban contains at least 13 books some spectacular that are banned statewide. According to reports, a new law went into effect all but guaranteeing that said bans would go into effect.

The Lowdown

A circulating list from officials finds that Ohio has informed its school districts that said districts must begin the process of throwing out at least 13 books. Those books include Margaret Atwoods Oryx and Crake and Judy Blume ‘s Forever, plus six books by popular fantasy author Sarah Maas, and numerous others. According to the newly enacted law, the ‘goal’ of the law is to remove books that otherwise expose children to ‘illicit pornography.’
