With both chains suffering as a result of their missteps, boycotts appear to be hurting both McDonald’s and Starbucks both domestically in the United States and internationally.
The Lowdown
According to The Intercept, Starbucks is being boycotted over its support of Israel in the ongoing Israeli-Gaza war that has displaced and killed so many innocent Palestinians. McDonald’s on the other hand is also being boycotted for the same reason after its Israeli branches openly supported the IDF and provided free meals while others were being slaughtered.
