In a bizarre admission, South Dakota’s Kristi Noem admitted in her new book that she murdered her dog because she ‘hated it’ and it was not behaving.

The Lowdown

A preview of “No Going Back: The Truth on What’s Wrong with Politics and How We Move America Forward,”  obtained by the Guardian first discovered the passage. In it, Noem writes that she murdered her dog Cricket because it was ‘less than worthless’ for hunting and ‘was aggressive.’

Noem on her part is maintaining the typical right-wing strong-woman image in the face of intense criticism and backlash. The animal according to the book was only 14 months old when they were killed by Noem after being led to a shallow grave.
