The Lowdown

In a letter reportedly provided to Willis this afternoon special prosecutor Nathan Wade has resigned. His resignation comes after Judge Scott McAfee ruled that one of them must step aside in order for the case to be able to continue against Trump.

Wade told Willis he was resigning in the interest of democracy.

Earlier in the day, it was ruled that Willis is not to be disqualified from the case but an appearance of impropriety had been found and therefore both weren’t permitted to stay.
