Deadspin is going to a new home. According to reports, the sports website is headed to the EU after a sudden purchase by Lineup Publishing.

Axios reports that Deadspin for an unspecified amount has been sold to Lineup Publishing a European publishing group. The surprise sale came as a surprise to just about everyone as the website wasn’t actually for sale but is understood to have been sold at a premium.
 “Deadspin’s new owners have made the decision to not carry over any of the site’s existing staff and instead build a new team more in line with their editorial vision for the brand,” Dead CEO Jim Spanfeller announced in a member according to the same Axios report.
