Down with the count. Elizabeth Holmes one time boyfriend and sidekick Ramesh ‘Sunny’ Balwani, 57, has been sentenced to nearly 13 years in prison for his role in the mass Theranos fraud scandal. Holmes herself is going to prison for nearly 11 years for her often unforgiving and relentless fraud scandal that duped many people and scammed the healthcare system. According to information available about the case, Balwani was sentenced on grounds of fraud and conspiracy in connection to the company’s faulty medical equipment that they used to dupe investors and others.
