COLUMBUS, OHIO — Donovan Lewis, 20, a young Black male in Ohio has died at the hands of police. According to reports, Columbus police are now facing calls for investigation(s) after shooting dead an unarmed Lewis in his own home during a botched police visit.
Police claim they were there on multiple warrants to arrest and speak to Lewis although made no effort to actually do so. Lewis was unarmed and understood to have been smoking a vape pen in his home. He died hours later at a local hospital according to news outlets.
