Remember her? First African born Miss France investigated over apartment gift from corrupt Prez

The year is 2000 and Sonia Rolland just became he first African born Miss France winner. According to CNN, Rolland is now under investigation for a reported massive $850,000 apartment gift she received roughly threee years later from the President of Gabon. For those who may not be aware, that would be President Bongo of the Bongo Family which has ruled the African nation for more than 50 years. Also a reported family and President himself with deep ties to human rights violations; war crimes, election issues just to name a few of the long reported allegations against the guy.

It is no wonder the French are investigating these folks.

Now French officials say she misused public funds over the gift of the reported apartment. The French National Prosecutor for Financial Crimes (PNF) confirmed to the US network of the investigation into Rolland ‘s dealings.

This is all in part to a long-running investigation by the French into the Bongo family and their ill gotten assets.
