‘The world’s biggest cosmetics brand is dropping all references to whitening; skin fairness, and all related terms n an effort to finally bring itself into the 21st century. According to CNN, L’Oreal confirmed over the weekend that big changes are coming — but not without a ton of commentary.
“The L’Oreal Group has decided to remove the words white/whitening, fair/fairness, light/lightening from all its skin evening products,” the French cosmetics giant said in statement. Johnson & Johnson subsequently confirmed that they are also dropping two skincare brands from their roster for the same reasons.
