American musician Travis Scott has announced that following the deadly stampede that took place during his Astroworld festival that he will be paying funeral costs for those that lost their lives. Over the weekend, Scott eventually posted a video online also where he appeared to be crying amid a variant of claims about the festival.
“Travis remains in active conversations with the city of Houston, law enforcement and local first responders to respectfully and appropriately connect with the individuals and families of those involved,” the statement reads per CNN “These are the first of many steps Travis plans on taking as a part of his personal vow to assist those affected throughout their grieving and recovery process.”
The musician will also partner with Betterhelp to provide free mental health services to those who were in attendance.
