A Libyan man has been arrested in connection to the 2017 Manchester Arena bombing

A 24-year-old man who has recently returned to the UK has been arrested in connection to the 2017 Manchester Arena bombing that happened during an Ariana Grande concert. According to police, they believe Salman Abedi, 24, entered the area on that day eventually having detonated a bomb that killed scores of innocent people.

It is understood that Abedi made stem from Libya whereas his parents have been since about 2017 according to security reports. He did visit Libya months prior to the attack that year though it is unclear exactly what he did in the country. Previously available information confirmed that Hashem Abedi (his brother) was charged with 22 counts of murder for helping his brother create the bomb in the first place.
