For 25 years Judge Judy and company were pretty much T.V’s highest paid and biggest stars. But these days the famed judge is instead going to streaming over traditional cable like most people. But during the reported transition ahead of her Judy Justice premiere, Judith apparently didn’t include her longtime bailiff Petri Hawkins Byrd.

“My assumption is if you were going on to do something else, that you were at least going to ask me if I wanted to have the opportunity to audition for the role,” Byrd, 63, told EW.

Byrd first had joined the show in 1996 as it had pretty much premiered marking the inevitable point in which Judy became a household name. Instead Judge Judy will pretty much go at it alone on 1 November when the new series premieres online on Amazon/IMDB TV.
