An East Syracuse police officer is on leave this week after video footage emerged of said officer (and we mean this literally) punching a woman so hard in the face it nearly knocked her out. According to social media posts and media reports, that officer has been identified as Rory Spain. Spain remains on leave pending an investigation into the use of caught-on-camera excessive force.
The woman has been identified as Tyreana Edmonds who he punched square in the throat.
