ELURU, INDIA — There’s a troubling medical mystery unfolding in southern India today. According to local health officials, at least 300 patients abruptly came down with a bout of symptoms that nobody quite knows where they came from. Officials say the symptos ranged from burning eyes; to vomiting, upset stomachs, and severe nausea.
Indian officials stress that these aren’t cases of COVID, but, they’re not exactly sure what the root of the cause is either.
Andhra Pradesh is one of the worst hit states in India with more than 800k confirmed cases as of this writing. Officials also confirmed that all 300 people were tested for COVID and came back negative. Further tests are being ran to determine what is causing people to fall ill and in such a fast nature.
