There’s a troubling new piece in The Washington Post making its rounds, and it has caught speed online due to a tidbit that contains the following line: Why can’t we just let the virus wash over the country?
The Post is out today with a number of memos; details, and more from within the Trump Administration and its largely bewildering response to the outbreak of COVID-19 (aka the Coronavirus.). Those memos paint an administration that if Trump had his own way, Americans would have been left up to themselves to survive. The suggestion was made after Trump suggested that with that suggestion immunity would only be left to the survivors.
Last month during closed-door meetings, Trump in those memos is alleged to have asked Dr. Fauci if they could simply just ignore the virus and let it run its course. The response? “Many people would die Mr. President.”
