Double shootings stun New York City, raise fears of an uptick in violence amid COVID-19

Violence in New York City has been steadily on the rise in certain neighbourhoods amid the Coronavirus. In Harlem last night, a 23-year-old man was shot dead outside of his apartment while numerous others were injured. According to the Citizen app, the man was shot in the head and dead-on-arrival when emergency services arrived.

Meanwhile, in Crown Heights a separate shooting occurred within minutes of the first two. According to the Citizen app, a 31-year-old man in the neighbourhood was fatally shot in the head Saturday night.

The Daily News has confirmed that both shooters remain at large.
