In a country where people already don’t trust its government, imagine an untrustworthy government with armoured robotic vehicles sans humans.

The government apparently claims that these devices will test just how the Army and its soldiers will operate with robots in the field. Humans will only be able to control or man the devices from a remote location using a reported touch-screen system designed for the vehicles themselves.

Yeah, that’s pretty scary right? According to The Verge, the U.S government has ordered the Army to begin testing and phasing in robotic armoured vehicles for reasons that are kind of murky.
