American screen legend Doris Day, 97, has reportedly died according to her foundation. On Monday, her foundation confirmed to numerous outlets that the Hollywood golden-girl and longtime animal lover lost her battle with pneumonia.
Day ‘s honey-themed voice; bright feminity, and overall entertaining draw from movies to stage comedies had made her one of the last figures from Hollywood’s golden cinema age.
She was “surrounded by a few close friends” according to Doris ‘s animal foundation.
