Marriott hotels launching own home sharing business

Marriot Hotels is looking to steal some coin away from AirBnb. According to the Wall Street Journal, Marriott hotels is apparently looking to expand itself into the home-sharing business. Which means Airbnb could actually have a tangible and actual competitor that could steal their business.

It’s worth noting that Marriott already has an Airbnb like business in Europe. America is one of the only countries in the western world without Marriott ‘s version of its home-sharing business.

As of 2019, Airbnb has more than 5million home listings from around the world. Official estimates and additional reports cite Airbnb as the largest company and website of its kind.
