Amazon Inc is getting big-time into the fight over minimum wage in the United States. According to reports, Â Jeff Bezos’ (who is the richest man in the world with an estimated net worth of $150billion)Â announced that his company would be increasing minimum hourly pay for all employees.
Yes, all. Per Bezos’ all 250,000 full time employees and about 100,000 seasonal employees will see their wages automatically jump to $15h/r starting next month. The move, uh, comes after critics pounced on reports that Amazon pays its warehouse workers “so little that they often need federal assistance just to feed themselves”.
