Turns out that now infamous testimony about emails; Clinton, and Abedin was littered with inaccuracies. Propublica reports that Comey, the director of the FBI, “overstated his assertions that Abedin knowingly forwarded classified emails to former husband Anthony Weiner at the time”.
The issue? Abedin never actually forwarded emails to anybody but rather had them reportedly linked to an automatic backup service from her blackberry. The website discovered that a blackberry used by Abedin actually had the service installed, which, resulted in the many reported emails on Weiner’s laptop.
Neither Huma nor Weiner responded to request for comment.
