The Lowdown

Voting rights and the like remain under attack in America this week following news of another GOP-led state’s efforts to further. According to the New York Times,  Republicans in the state claim their moves are in direct response to those made by California ‘s Gavin Newsom — who himself is only acting in response to moves made by the GOP.

North Carolina are prepping a next week vote that would allow them to expand their maps in the state in hopes of gaining at least one more seat.

The move follows several other states that have joined Republican efforts to outdraw Democrats as both parties struggle to hold onto power in the face of changing times and societal problems nationwide in America.
