New trouble in the Middle East. According to the IDF and Israel, the government of Israel has in fact authorized an unlawful strike inside the country of Qatar. For context, Qatar has been among those attempting to negotiate an end to the ongoing war in Gaza.
The AP notes that while the attack was meant to take out Hamas leadership it remains unclear if said targets were eliminated. On Qatar’s part, also per the AP, officials quickly responded to the attack citing they will not tolerate Israeli aggression in their homeland.
