The Lowdown

A soccer coach in Taiwan is making headlines this weekend but wait until you discover why. According to reports, Tai-ying has been let go from her job as a respected soccer coach after a scandal involving students being forced to give blood surfaced. The scandal reportedly involved students giving blood for research projects often against their will.

The entire motive behind her scheme isn’t quite well understood. In case it couldn’t get more scandalous it does. According to the South China Morning Post, Tai-ying would often take funds meant for those who donated blood and instead call them team funds.
