According to Aflac, the U.S insurer has been hacked. The insurer reports that on Friday the insurer revealed to the public that a sophisticated hacking group managed to gain access to its internal computer systems. The hack appears to have compromised the personal data of millions including: social security numbers, claim information, and health data were all exposed.  On their part, Aflac called the hack a hack ‘done by an orchestrated group.’
Customers can call Aflac ‘s call center that they’ve set up in regards to the matter at 855-361-0305. Customers will be able to sign up for free credit monitoring, identity theft protection, and Medical Shield for 24 months.
