Yet another shocking tale of crime for New Yorkers worried and concerned about subway violence. According to police, a man in his 50s was violently stabbed Saturday morning at the West 4th Street-Washington Square metro station in the Village.

Violence rings underground once again this weekend in New York City. According to police, the attack happened shortly after 5:40 am Saturday morning when the attacker stabbed the victim from behind. The attacker fled the scene on a separate train and remains at large. The vic and the attacker reportedly had some sort of dispute. He suffered serious injuries and needed emergency surgery after being taken to Bellevue Hospital with a knife sticking out of his neck at the time.
