Following the much talked about kidnapping of an Italian man in a New York City townhouse and the first indictment, now a second. The bizarre kidnapping plot lasted for 3 weeks.
The Lowdown
According to the case, William Duplessie, 33, has also been indicted and faces charges of assault, kidnapping, unlawful imprisonment, and criminal possession of firearm charges according to prosecutors. According to Patch, he turned himself into police on Tuesday afternoon.
Shockingly, the man is allegedly the biz partner of John Woeltz who is accused of mastterminding the bizarre kidnapping scheme. The entire scheme per the case was apparently a grift to get the unidentified man’s Bitcoin password. It first unfolded inside of a Prince Street townhouse in Manhattan where they took all of his belongings and identification.
