According to reports, this afternoon is expected to be a big day in the case against disgraced rapper Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs.
The Lowdown
Today is the day that Cassie testifies in the federal trafficking and racketeering case against fallen hip-hop star Sean Combs. Combs most infamously was seen in a 2016 hotel security video violently attacking Venture, his former girlfriend, which is expected to be a centerpiece of the prosecution’s case against him.
Cassie originally helped ignite the modern case against Diddy after she successfully sued him over the allegations in 2023. He is facing 15 years to life in prison over the allegations which include racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking and transportation to engage in prostitution.

On Tuesday afternoon, as expected, Cassie took to the stand in the federal trial of Sean Combs. In her testimony, Cassie testified that she was often subjected to Diddy’s so-called freak offs so often that finding them became a job. At one point, she testified that she realized after the first one that the raunchy acts weren’t for her. Regarding Combs’ alleged violence and abuse, Cassie also testified in her own words.
“He would bash my head, knock me over, drag me, kick me, stomp me in the head when I was down,”

About the freak-offs that Diddy allegedly made her plan and participate in, she had a lot to say.
“Pretty quickly over time I knew it wasn’t something I wanted to be doing, especially how frequently. But I was in love and wanting to make him happy,” Ventura said. “I didn’t feel like I had much of a choice, didn’t really know what ‘no’ could turn into.”
