Day one of  Combs’ real trial has arrived.  As previously reported by Bazaar Daily, prosecutors  are now tasked with arguing that Combs, 55, ran what amounted to a criminal enterprise rather than a celebrity entourage using his privilege and fame for evil. The trial is expected to last a total of eight weeks.

‘To the public he was Puff Daddy or Diddy, a culture icon, a businessman, larger than life. said prosecutor Emily Johnson. ‘But there was another side to him — a side that ran a criminal enterprise.’

Prosecutors used their opening statements to argue that though Combs they argue committed a host of alleged crimes — he did not act alone.  Prosecutors allege he had a host of willing accomplices ranging on from bodyguards to business associates.

On part of the defense, opening statements included denying that any trafficking took place at the direction of Diddy.

As expected, prosecutors also argued that the case has nothing to do with Diddy ‘s sexual preferences but rather his sexual actions. Johnson also argued that Diddy abused numerous women by intimidating them through coercion and threats of violence.
