As it turns out, the royals are beefing again, and this time, King Charles isn’t speaking to Harry. According to a telling interview, Prince Harry revealed to the BBC that King Charles isn’t on speaking terms with him, but he’d love to reconcile.
The Lowdown
Following Prince Harry’s long-running battle over security detail when he visits the UK (which he lost in court by the way) a new rift has surfaced in the royal family. According to a BBC interview, Prince Harry told the network that he isn’t sure how much longer King Charles has (he’s amid cancer treatment) and that folks aren’t particularly on speaking terms with him at the present moment. He also told the network that, despite claims to the contrary, he would like to reconcile with his famous family.
In Harry’s words, he says King Charles isn’t speaking to him over the squabble that occurred over Harry’s request for security details when he and his family were to visit the United Kingdom. When it was stripped by the British government in 2020 (fun fact: the Royals did not lower Harry’s security detail, the government did.)
Harry formally lost the case involving his security detail while in the country on Friday. The only way that Harry ‘s security detail would actually be covered is if he were invited by the Royals themselves.
