DHL Express, of Germany ‘s Deutsche Post, has announced that due to US customs and regulatory changes — there are a host of new changes coming to the way it delivers packages in America.
The Lowdown
According to an undated announcement on its website, the carrier will no longer ship business-to-consumer shipments of more than $800 to the United States.  The rule change goes into effect on 21 April.
Per the announcement, the carrier blames the move on new US customs rules that require formal entry processing on all shipments over $800. Prior to the change it had been as high as $2,500.
