Former Ozy Media head (yes that Ozy Media) Carlos Watson is once again back in the headlines. According to reports, Watson ‘s sentence for a host of charges (including wire fraud and identity theft just to name a few) has been commuted by Donald Trump. Watson joins a host of former criminals that have been pardoned by Trump in the past and present.

What happened?
Back in 2024, Watson first made headlines after scandalous claims of dishonesty and fraud first made international headlines. At the time, it was revealed that Watson not only lied about the real fate of Ozy Media but also impersonated executives at other companies (most notably a Youtube exec.)
CNBC reports that Trump also commuted the sentence of Ozy Media for its conviction in the case.
