The Lowdown

Trump ‘s anti-immigration efforts to unravel birthright citizenship have already met roadblocks. According to the AP, federal judge Judge John Coughenour issued a ruling on Thursday barring the Trump Administration from allowing the order to proceed. In his order, Coughenour repeatedly indicated that he believed the order was ‘blatantly unconstitutional.’

The AP notes that Arizona, Oregon, and Washington, which managed to get the case before a judge, are the first to do so on a national scale.
