NYers to get $500 check next year under plan proposal by Gov Hochul report says

With single filers getting up to $300 and joint filers getting up to $500. According to Albany, the move is part of Governor Hochul ‘s proposal ‘to put more money’ back in the pockets of residents.

The Lowdown

According to the Governor, single filers who earned up to $150,000 for the year will get a $300 refund via check as part of the ‘Inflation Refund’ initiative proposed by Hochul. The new proposal will be unveiled during Hochul ‘s SOTS address on 14 January.

Filers going at it jointly with up to $300,000 in reported income will receive refund checks up to $500.
