Brazil with one of the world’s biggest digital populations has given X the boot. As previously reported, a back and forth between Elon Musk and Supreme Court Justice Alexandra De Moraes escalated after Musk refused to appoint a legal rep in the area.

But now that escalation has occurred. More than 22m users were shut out from the site as the ban became widespread over the weekend. Mobile phone companies and internet providers are required per the order to entirely restrict access to the network until Musk complies with local laws.
Bad news for X is, however, good news for sites like Bluesky who have gained a wide new number of users over the situation.
