Filmed on the Balearic Islands on the protected dunes of S’Espalmador — the Lifetimes video by American recording artist Katy Perry is facing scrutiny.
The Lowdown
According to the government of Spain’s Balearic Islands, Perry is under investigation after authorities allegedly discovered the popstar didn’t have proper authorization to film on the protected island. The super ecological rich area is protected by law in Spain and has been since at least the 80s.
Authorizations are allowed and the area can be used though only with the necessary permissions to do so to prevent damage to the fascinating area. Officials want to know how Perry filmed Lifetimes and not many apparently knew about it.
