In a campaign proposal, Harris is matching a proposal also pushed by GOP candidate Donald Trump.

During a campaign stop in Las Vegas, Democratic Presidential nominee Kamala Harris has made a new campaign proposal. The proposal appeals widely to workers in places like Las Vegas where the local economy depends greatly on tourism; entertainment, and hospitality.
“When I am president, we will continue our fight for working families of America, including to raise the minimum wage, and eliminate taxes on tips for service and hospitality workers,” Harris said.
In response to the announcement, Trump on his social media feed claimed that Harris stole his idea.
In the post to his Truth Social platform.
“Kamala Harris, whose ‘Honeymoon’ period is ENDING, and is starting to get hammered in the Polls, just copied my NO TAXES ON TIPS Policy,” he wrote. He added that she only mentioned the proposal for “Political Purposes.”
