South Arican police found themselves baffled today after reportedly discovering a massive meth lab on what appeared to be an ordinary farm. But there’s much more to the story.
The Lowdown
According to reports, the huge discovery was made in Groblersdal in the Limpopo province on a farm. Al Jazeera reports that the bust came after locals in the area reported suspicious activity coming from the farm but it was no small operation. As AJ notes, the farm’s meth lab’s street value is at more than 2B rand. Inside the operation, police found chemicals including other necessary instruments to make illicit drugs.
At least four people including two Mexican nationals and the farm’s mysterious owner have been arrested.
