The Lowdown

According to NBC, Trump has been found guilty in the New York City hush money trial against him. As previously reported by Bazaar Daily, he faces up to 136 years in prison but whether or not he’d serve any time at all remains unclear. In NYC, offenders who commit non-violent crimes are often not imprisoned. Each charge carries a four year prison sentence.

His sentencing is scheduled for 11 July at 10am EST.

At the heart of the trial and the guilty verdicts, are the payments Trump illegally misclassified that were made to Stormy Daniels. Daniels was paid by Trump and his operatives in an effort to quash a National Enquirer story that was at the time going to reveal their previous affair.
