Georgia has now joined several other GOP states in targeting healthcare for trans youth. This week Georgia Gov Brian Kemp signed S.B 140 which makes it a crime to provide gender-affirming care to trans youth under the age of 18 this includes hormone replacement therapy and surgeries. The law does create an exemption for ‘cis’ children who would be permitted access to gender-affirming care.

Georgia ‘s law slightly differs from other U.S states as it does not restrict access to puberty blockers.
