Deep within western Iran Iranian officials are now claiming they’ve made a potentially winning discovery. According to the country’s Minister of Industry; Trade, Mines officials discovered about 8.5m tons of a metal known as lithium. The find of course does require further investigation to determine if the claim is true and whether or not it would even be feasible to mine it in the first place.

The world’s largest lithium mine is actually located in Chile and has about 9.2m tons of lithium inside reports CNBC.
