The 1955 arrest warrant of a white woman known as Carolyn Bryant, now 88, is back in the headlines. According to reports, Till ‘s cousin Patricia Sterling is suing the current Leflore County Sheriff Ricky Banks. Last June, researchers who were taking a renewed look at the case found a now infamous 1955 arrest warrant that was never served on Bryant.
It is the latest call for justice against the vile white woman who helped along one of the most violent lynchings in history.
