America has put on quite a spectacular trial in the trafficking case against fallen socialite Ghislaine Maxwell. Once powerful; connected, and wealthy Maxwell is currently in the jury deliberation phase of a federal trial against her that could and likely will land her behind bars for years to come. This week deliberations in the case pushed forward as the consequential verdict is awaited on around the world.
According to court documents and the charges against her, if convicted on all 6 counts she faces upwards of 70 years behind bars essentially meaning she will die in prison. Maxwell stands accused of grooming and procuring young women for convicted predator Jeffrey Epstein — who is believed to have died by suicide while in prison. Maxwell was initially arrested in 2020 after several months of hiding out in a remote lavish enclave.
