Good news on the Afghanistan front today. According to multiple reports, a number of celebrities and the robotics team which include young girls have all escaped the Afghan trenches.
Aryana Sayeed,m the country’s biggest female pop star has also managed to flee the country. Per social media, Sayeed is headed back to Istanbul and will remain there.
The New York Times reports that several members of the group are now reportedly in Qatar where they will remain. Their team leader, Roya Mahboob, confirmed that some had managed to escape to Doha.
While the Taliban maintains that girls will be able to go to school and the like — not many are believing the terrorist organization. There is no shortage of hesitancy when it comes to the Taliban considering their very dark past.
