Rents across the board in Manhattan are reaching rates that most New Yorkers have only ever dreamed about. According to reports, one partially bad partially good result of the COVID pandemic is that of significant drops in rent thereby making it likely that eventually more people will be able to afford the city.

That’s if New York ever actually recovers.

According to the latest rental stats, the average rent in Brooklyn is now at $2,500 or less and in Queens has fallen below $2,200.

Property Shark and the like were the first to share the news — some of which has been lauded by critics who have long said NYC rent is too damn high to begin with.
